The Service Clan Website is up!
That is right... as of January, 31st 2006 - The Serviceclan website is up and functioning. Sorry it took me so long...
Please register yourself on the site and I will activate your account PRONTO. I have to activate you because we only want Members of the Family to see certain sections of the site.
Once you are registered and logged in, a whole mess of of options will pop into the menus. Some of the cool things this site can do are as follows.
- Create photo albums and upload photos for us all to enjoy.
- Find out who else is online and then CHAT with them.
- Have long lengthy discussions in the Family Forum.
- Blog your heart out... either publicly or privately.
- Post News or Announcements for us all to see.
- Add an event (like birthdays, weddings, etc) on the Calendar
- Play games and see if you can beat my high score on Asteroids!
Along with registering, I can give you a Serviceclan email address that you can check RIGHT FROM THIS WEBSITE! If you like your old email address, that is okay too... I can create a @serviceclan.com email account and point it to your other address (gmail, msn, yahoo... whatever).
The site will get better as time goes by... Currently, the blog section is a little weak (can''t upload a photo) but it will get better as I install updates. I''m sure I''ll be adding other cool and nifty features as well.
Let EVERYONE in the family know to come and participate... even if you think I emailed them already. :o)

| Jake is a Mesa Firefighter! |
 hollypolly writes "So it is true our dreams have officially came true Jake landed his dream job and we are destined to live in AZ forever!
SO here's what happened with the hiring process...it started with 799 guys and Jake (800) They did a written test, 150 questions, must score 90% or better to go to the next level, which he got a 93% **clapping* then onto the CPAT with is the physical part, go through a rigerous course in under 10 mins, which by the way he was the 2nd fastest guy to do the entire course out of the 200 that passed the written test. 80 passed the CPAT and went on to an oral interview ,then 37 guys were chosen from the Oral interview to do the "intern academy" this is the try before you buy method. Every saturday for 5 weeks jake went (unpaid) from 7am-5pm and busted his can to prove to them HE was what they wanted. 22 guys were chosen out of the 37 who went to the academy, and yep, you got it, JAKE was one of them!! **APPLAUSE** We are all very proud and know, that no one else deserves it more then him :) The Real academy(paid) starts April 30th and will continue for 14-15 weeks 6am-4pm Monday through Friday, needless to say he will be in really good shape. Which by the way he already is, he runs at least 2 miles a day, quit drinking soda and works out everyother day, and has lost 6 lbs. Amazing.
SO thank you all for the prayers and support as he took his LOONNNNG awaited journey to make it thus far.

We have started our stint as shelter care parents... we have a little boy and his baby sister for the next few weeks.
